A sunny start at 360 degree thinking

When we chose the theme ‘360 degree thinking’ for the AMOSSHE conference this year, we didn’t expect the weather to try to aim for 360 degrees too! The Brighton sunshine has really blessed us on the first day of our event about enabling student success through strategic, effective and innovative Student Services.

170705 AMOSSHE 02Our opening keynote speaker, Lee Elliot Major (Sutton Trust) started us off with fascinating insights into social mobility in the context of higher education.

170705 AMOSSHE 05 We were also delighted that William Hammonds (Universities UK) was able to join us in place of his colleague Nicola Dandridge. William gave a brilliant and entertaining review of the current higher education policy landscape, plus some predictions for the future.

This was just the start of an engaging and thought-provoking day – looking forward to more sunlit insights tomorrow!
